Stoic - Associate Producer

In November 2014 the creative team behind Mass Exodus 2015 produced a runway show and photo exhibit called Stoic to showcase work of design students and communications students at The School of Fashion. The theme of the show embodied the ideals and notions of stoicism and how it applies to fashion and design for both sexes. As Associate Producer, Tessa’s responsibilities were to oversee the duties of the Content Co-ordinations team. This included model casting, fittings, hair and makeup, model lineup, choreography run-through, and trouble-shooting all backstage aspects on the day of the show.

Mass Exodus 2015 - Associate Producer

As Associate Producer, Tessa was a part of the Executive team in charge of producing The School of Fashion's graduating class showcase, one of the largest student-run fashion event in the world; which included a runway show and exhibition. As a part of the Executive team, Tessa worked closely with The School of Fashion faculty in all aspects pertaining to event production, committee progress, creative process, while working with the graduating fashion students. Tessa was also instrumental in building relationships with external departments, companies, and sponsors. As Associate Producer, Tessa worked with show  committees to manage all backstage aspects on the day of the show, including hair and makeup, model lineup, garment checks, choreography practice, and trouble-shooting. Tessa’s responsibilities also included overseeing the eCommerce committee and the introduction of the first-ever online shopping platform, The Showroom. The Showroom was physical shopping space at the Mass Exodus event and an online shopping platform several weeks following the show where guests could purchase items seen on the runway and in the exhibit.

Synthesis 2013 - Executive Committee Member

As a member of the executive committee it was Tessa’s and her team’s responsibility to creatively develop a concept and event that required the challenge of a fashion event involving no lighting; the production of Synthesis 2013. Tessa’s role was to organize meetings with committee leaders and members in order to build a common vision for the show and develop schedules, tasks, and responsibilities for committee members for the day of the show. The executive committee was responsible for monitoring progress and deadlines in different elements of the planning and execution of the event. In the forefront of these efforts was consistently problem-solving many aspects related to our unique obstacle of a fashion event with zero lighting.  This resulted in the need for audience participation through the use of personal cameras in order for each guest to experience a show unique to their own perception and devices.
