Tessa Hall is a communications professional with a love for film, fashion, arts, and culture. Over the past ten years, Tessa has gained experience in the fashion industry, film industry, and arts and culture industry through a variety of positions. She currently holds the role of Operations and Communications Manager at the Canadian Alliance of Film and Television Costume Arts and Design (CAFTCAD) and works with costume professionals across Canada to promote and increase awareness of the costume art and design industry in this country. Prior to this role, Tessa worked at the Toronto International Film Festival in a variety of positions that allowed her to further explore her love for the Canadian and international film industries, while working for the largest public film festival in the world.
Tessa Hall holds a Bachelor of Design, Fashion Communications from Toronto Metropolitan (Ryerson) University’s School of Fashion in Toronto, Canada. During her third year at Toronto Metropolitan (Ryerson) University, she was granted the executive position of Associate Producer of Mass Exodus 2015, the largest student-run fashion event in the world, which was one of the major highlights of her four years at university. In her final year, Tessa was awarded the Helen and Sulo Hutko Award for her extraordinary contribution to The School of Fashion while maintaining a cumulative GPA above 3.0. This award came with a $3,000 scholarship and recognition during the annual award ceremony at Holt Renfrew.
Currently, Tessa is actively working towards growing her talents and experience further as it pertains to her educational training and life-long passions of communications, media relations, event production, fashion, and film.
